Our goal is to exceed client expectations and industry norms, thinking outside the square to create better outcomes, for people and our environment.
What motivates us is achieving successful outcomes for our clients. We excel at this through quality design, innovation and a passion for what we do.
Good design is often talked about but great design is more often the collaborative effort of a talented design team committed to the success of your project.
Our team share a united view that sustainability and life cycle are integral to responsible design.
Listening and communicating to develop better outcomes for clients.
This project involved a new Library, Community Centre and Shire Offices to serve the local and wider community.
The exterior of the building is based on the key principles of passive solar design including north facing glazing, with shading for summer sun, solid east and west facing facades with minimal windows, vertical shading blades to the western foyer and high performance insulation.
For the interior both daylight and electrical lighting concepts needed to communicate simplicity and well integrated design, as these reinforced the architectural and environmental design principals of the library. Budget and energy were a significant factor that needed to be addressed and underpinned the design solution. The extensive use of daylight was one of the key design objectives to reduce energy consumption.
