The Northbridge Police Complex located on the corner of Fitzgerald and Roe streets opened in July 2013.
The community accessible complex has the capacity for 500 police and support staff and consists of the new Perth Police Station, Northbridge Magistrate's Court, Perth Watch House with room for 72 detainees, the Central Metropolitan District Office, as well as specialist units; District Crime Team, Central Metropolitan Detectives, Traffic Unit, District Forensic Investigation Office, Crime and Intelligence Coordination Unit, Family Protection Unit and Community Policing Unit.
ETC developed energy efficient and low maintenance lighting utilising LED lamps to interior areas. The lighting control system utilises motion sensors and touch activated LCD light switch panels. Design to the custodial facilities provide increased functionality to staff. Bump less transfer of the emergency power generator allows regular testing without interrupting the building users.
